I have 13 pieces of spam in the filter. Talk about a WTF!?! moment…Most of them are for porn sites, followed by an internet dating site, help for erectile dysfunction, and a link titled: Knifty Knitter Afaghan patterns. Afaghan? Hrm…No. I didn’t click on it! After the “key words” from the previous comments? Not going there!

Life is almost normal again. We’ll probably get started on the shower again this weekend. And I have to find a pirate hat for my costume for New Orleans. Did I mention I’m going to Heather Graham’s Writers for New Orleans conference? And having THREE pitch appointments? *flail* Makes me wish I’d actually gone to one of the classes about making a pitch when I was at Nationals. So…dear, kind, wonderful writer friends… How many of you have made a pitch? Got any hints? Advice? Margaritas? What goes on after the elevator pitch? What sort of follow-up questions might be asked? What sort of questions should I ask, if there’s time? ARGH! *whimper*

margaritaOkay. So what else is going on in the world? Anybody have good news to share? Read any good books? Anybody have, heaven forbid, bad news? Need commiserating? Here…have a margarita! Yes. On Friday, that’s my advice/solution for everything! Be sure to stop by tomorrow. We’ll be celebrating Paula’s birthday with a studly smorgasbord!

Hey Silver, I can’t help you with the pitch stuff, but I can always give moral support. You rock! You are gonna wow them with your pitches. Don’t worry about it at all. So you need a pirate hat…what pretell (sp? I know that is wrong, but I wanna say that word pray tell) are you going to do with that? I can only imagine; sacking and looting I presume. I have some bad news…on Monday, I am going to have some surgery done. I will give more deets later. I hope to see you swinging around in the jungle and chilling at the Cyber Lair soon.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

Good thoughts are always appreciated and many of them headed your way for Monday! Worried about you, kiddo.

The fun of Heather’s conferences? Much costuming at parties. Friday night, we’re taking a riverboat ride, dressed in period costumes and Saturday night is dinner/dance/show with everyone dressed as pirates! And “pray tell” is written as two words. :D

Thanks Silver, I couldn’t decide which to use, so I wrote both ways…I figured the second one would have been correct. Go figure. It sounds like you are going to have lots of fun playing games in NO. So, you guys planning on capturing any ships and fighting on the high seas? I wish I could be there. have enough fun for me too okay.

        Peace and love,
        Paula R.

Paula- Good luck on Monday. Keep us posted here and in the jungle.

I have spent the week with my husbands oldest son, his wife (who I like) and twin sons, 4. I am exhausted. We have driven up and back to Lake George everyday (an hour) and today they are at Great Escape. I chose to escape and mow the lawns. They were awful. I just have to finish the back and then take a shower before we meet up for dinner.

Wish I could have that drink but I will end up with an O’Doul’s since I am driving.

You will be fine on the pitches. No drinking before hand (or not so’s they smell it!!)
